Primary Endothelial Cells

tebu-bio offers high purity, low passage human primary endothelial cells covering a wide range of cell types in both cryopreserved and proliferating format.

Endothelial cells are the cells that line the blood vessels of the entire circulatory system, ranging from the aorta to capillaries, and act as the barrier between circulating blood and the rest of the vessel wall. At the cellular interface, endothelial cells are involved in the processes of angiogenesis, vasculogenesis, vasoregulation, coagulation, fibrinolysis, and blood cell trafficking.

Endothelial cells            A: Human Lung Microvascular Endothelial Cells, HLMVEC.
B: HLMVEC immunofluorescently stained with anti-CD31 antibody
(Cat# CB13678) and nucleus stained with PI.
C&D: HLMVEC transfected with GFP plasmid DNA using the Cytofect
                       Endothelial Cell Transfection Kit.

tebu-bio's human endothelial cells include: aortic, pulmonary artery, coronary artery, umbilical vein endothelial cells, umbilical artery, and microvascular endothelial cells. Depends on whether they are large, intermediate ("meso"), or capillary blood vessel endothelial cells, they require different medium for their optimal growth.
