Vena8 Endothelial+ Biochips

Ideal for studying cell-cell interaction studies, cell rolling and adhesion studies, and mimicking in-vivo physiological flow


Each Vena8 Endothelial+ biochip contains 8 parallel enclosed microcapillaries for culturing primary endothelial cells or coating with proteins and continuous flow cell based assays.
Primary endothelial cells are cultured and cell suspensions may then be injected using the Kima or Mirus Evo Nanopump which supports a range of shear stresses / shear flow rates for dynamic flow based assays.

It is possible to culture 8 cell monolayers simultaneously over 24-48 hours.


Endothelial cells are easily seeded (via standard pipette) and cultured inside the microcapillaries of the biochip. As cells flow through the microcapillary of the Vena8 Endothelial+™ biochip, the cell surface receptors may interact with the endothelial cell monolayer which coats the microcapillary walls.

Ideal for use with phase contrast imaging and fluorescence imaging to study cell-cell interactions under conditions mimicking physiological flow.
